The problem we faced
Between jobs we needed a clean invoice or estimate from a phone in the truck — not another hour fighting a Word template with broken totals, and not a field-service app asking for $59 a month before we had sent a single PDF.
Most weeks the job was one page: line items, tax if we charged it, a due date, and a file the client could pay from. The tools we tried either oversold subscriptions or looked amateur enough that we hesitated to send them.
