Fence jobs mix materials by linear foot, gates, and post holes. Estimates should show panel type and height; invoices tie labor to installed footage so change orders are easy to document.
After the customer signs or approves, click Convert to invoice in the sidebar (next to Download PDF). You do not retype line items, the tool assigns a new invoice number, today's date, and Net 30 due date, then opens the invoice builder for a final review.
Use the Convert to invoice button in the summary panel on the right.
Click Convert to invoice in the sidebar. Line items, business and client blocks copy over. You get a new INV- number, today's issue date, Net 30 due date, and any deposit field cleared. Edit anything before you download the invoice PDF.
Line items, quantities, rates, notes, tax rate, and discount settings. The estimate number stays on the old PDF only, the invoice uses the next number from your browser counter.
No. Parties and line items copy automatically. You land on /invoice with the form prefilled; review due date and totals, then download.
Estimates often use per-foot pricing for transparency; the final invoice can stay per foot or switch to lump sum once the run is measured. Always note fence height, material, and gate count.
List posts, panels, and hardware as separate material lines or one materials line with quantity in linear feet. Markup is usually rolled into unit price rather than shown as a separate fee.
If you pulled a permit or worked from a survey, reference it in notes or a line item. Property-line disputes are reduced when the invoice matches the approved layout.
Repairs: trip fee, sections replaced, and post reset as line items. Installs: footage, gates, removal of old fence, and disposal as separate lines.
