Most lawn jobs bill per visit or by the square foot on mulch. This preset starts with mowing, edging, and mulch lines you can edit before sending.
After the customer signs or approves, click Convert to invoice in the sidebar (next to Download PDF). You do not retype line items, the tool assigns a new invoice number, today's date, and Net 30 due date, then opens the invoice builder for a final review.
Use the Convert to invoice button in the summary panel on the right.
Click Convert to invoice in the sidebar. Line items, business and client blocks copy over. You get a new INV- number, today's issue date, Net 30 due date, and any deposit field cleared. Edit anything before you download the invoice PDF.
Line items, quantities, rates, notes, tax rate, and discount settings. The estimate number stays on the old PDF only, the invoice uses the next number from your browser counter.
No. Parties and line items copy automatically. You land on /invoice with the form prefilled; review due date and totals, then download.
It depends on your jurisdiction and whether the job is materials-only, labor-only, or bundled. Many regions tax landscaping materials but exempt pure labor. Enter your local rate in the tool, we never hardcode jurisdiction rates.
Yes, clients and accountants expect it. List labor (mowing, trimming) separately from materials (mulch, plants, fertilizer) so markups and tax treatment stay clear.
Use a per-visit line item with quantity 1 and your flat visit rate, or bill monthly with a lump-sum line. Add payment terms (Net 15 or due on receipt) in the notes block.
Scope (beds, turf area, visits per month), unit rates, valid-until date, and whether mulch or plants are included. Our estimate template adds an acceptance line for client sign-off.
